I did mention a few blog posts back that I have really stepped up my style lately. In my opinion; I’ve always known how to dress but when I stepped into my 30’s I started to REALLY work on my personal style. I think this has come out a lot more this year from the shoots I did with Katie Ryan Creations and some of the earlier shoots I did with my mum. What I realised however is that I hadn’t shot many formal outfits. One’s where I show how I dress up smart!

I have always had a thing for blazers and own a fair few, but what I realised is that I don’t own any suits. This is actually pretty bizarre to me, but I think it comes down to the fact that within the work I do (I am a Career Consultant by occupation) I have always worked for organisations that have allowed me to not have to wear them so there really hasn’t been a need to.

However, suits are never out of fashion and really help you to level up your style. As I didn’t have suits in my closet I decided to experiment and teamed two different shades of Yellow together. The result is a beautiful, show-stopping head-turning number that I am now planning to wear out to my next event.

None of the items I styled in this look are brand new and come directly from my closet. I honestly cannot tell you how difficult it is to be a shopaholic but one who is trying to shop less. It’s actually a living hell! However, for the sake of this look, I also found the fun in exploring my existing closet and seeing what I could create.
