Could this be my most favourite look to date? This may sound like quite a massive statement but this is a look that I honestly feel I nailed. If you consider the fact that I was going to team this gorgeous dress with yellow shoes and accessories to begin with; then half-way deciding to switch it up with orange and just like that an epic colour combo was created.

There are a plethora of positive outcomes associated with practicing mindfulness. What’s it like functioning in a depressive space? I know that this way of being is a REAL thing as I function in this state daily. Trauma and dealing with numerous hurts that I have suppressed for a long time has been the main cause. Moving from one day to another and not really having a chance to work through things has heightened the state. It’s become quite a comfortable space for me because somehow, so much action take place here. I am always busy, always pro-active, always coaching, developing and creating and yet, I know I am not completely okay.
The recent heatwave may be behind us, but there is still plenty of summer sun in store – especially for those with foreign holidays to look forward to. Most of us love the sunshine and hot temperatures, but we need to be careful about overexposure – always use a high factor SPF on your face. So, what else can we do to look after ourselves this summer? How about taking a lead from some people who were experts at protecting their skin from the ravages of the sun: the ancient Egyptians.
It feels really good to be back on the blog and sharing a fashion post. I have been quite active with content I shot at home on my INSTAGRAM but I haven’t been out shooting looks for a while. They’re have been many reasons behind this. The main one has been I haven’t really wanted to. I don’t like the pressure of having to shoot and I like to go, on a whim; when I want to. I had already planned weeks in advance that when I shot again, I would be shooting a few blazer suits I picked up from Shein. So yesterday, when the weather allowed some periods of sunshine (between the sporadic droplets of rain) Syianne (my mum) and I went out to my usual location and shot some really nice images.
You already know how I feel about this brand and the partnership has gone on for two months and continues to go from strength to strength. I really wanted to level up my content and I honestly feel that working with this brand came at the right time. As I’ve mentioned in a few posts now; my direction as a woman has changed. I seek to be respected, not seen and what I mean by this is that my dress sense has gone up a few levels.

was going to name this post “Levelling Up” as this is what always comes to mind when I go to afternoon tea. I love the feeling it brings and it reminds me of why I keep pushing and working on this blog and my other ventures. What it would be like to go to afternoon tea whenever I wanted and to review various swanky hotels and seeing what they have to offer. I am blessed with the fact that I ran my own online magazine for 8 years which afforded me the luxury of reviewing ALOT of different afternoon tea venues. Yet, that was then and this is now and I really want to take sashashantel.com to next level and to review more venues like these.
As much as I love wearing wigs, I am very conscious of the fact that I have a bundle of curly hair underneath it and that hair requires my attention in order to keep it healthy. I have spent number of years, trying out different products for curly/kinky hair and am pretty happy with the products I incorporate into my daily routine. I have always loved Creme of Nature’s products, particularly their Argan Oil based Leave in Conditioner which is nourishing for both my hair and scalp. I have also found that although it has been made with us curly hair sisters in mind, their products are also very versatile and I use both their mousse and leave-in conditioner on my wigs.
I am trying so hard to get back onto my YouTube game so decided to film a video on my latest buys from Everything 5 Pounds and Primark. I picked up some cool clothing pieces, accessories, electrical and stationery. Check out my latest video now and if you are an avid reader of my blog I would without a doubt appreciate if you would like, comment and subscribe to my channel.
