It had been a minute (okay, years) since I last went to a roller disco, so I was beyond excited to check out Roller Nation, the ultimate roller disco destination in North London. I wasn’t about to go alone either — I brought my A-Team with me, because if you’re going to do it, you might as well do it BIG.
First Impressions? Vibes from the Jump 💫
The second we walked in, we were greeted with the warmest energy. The staff were super friendly, gave us a full tour of the space, and set us up with our own booth. Yes — a booth. The perfect little hub where we could chill, order food and drinks, and gear up for the fun ahead. Roller Nation really knows how to make their guests feel special!
Let’s Talk About the FOOD 😍
Now listen… I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by the food — but baby, that burger? Top-tier. Juicy, crispy on the outside, full of flavour, and served with golden chips that were the perfect level of crispy. Paired with one (or two) cocktails? It was a whole experience. Honestly, I’d come back just for the food alone. No lie.
The Music? Absolute Fire 🔥
Once the food settled, we hit the floor and let me tell you — the music was ON POINT. The DJ spun a mix of old-school throwbacks, RnB gems, house, and straight-up dancefloor fillers. There were so many moments where we were skating, sipping, and just vibing. And the visuals? The iconic glitter disco ball, flower feature wall, and colourful strobe lights created a scene that was both electric and Insta-worthy.
The Skating Floor: Where the Real Magic Happened 💃🏾🛼
I laced up my skates and did not stop. I glided (okay — sometimes stumbled) around the floor 30+ times, working up a real sweat and needing a few cocktail breaks to catch my breath. 😅 It was so fun watching everyone from first-time skaters to full-blown pros just enjoying themselves, dancing, laughing, and cheering each other on. There was such a strong sense of community and unity, and that’s what made the night so special for me.
