I have been excited to write this blog post for a while but have been exhausted as I have recently taken on a second job. (More details will be revealed over time and in a separate blog) However, I bounced out of bed this Sunday morning and decided to get this post written as I am excited to share that my blog has been listed at No.51 for the top lifestyle blog in the UK. To say I am proud is an understatement. Where blogging is concerned, I have been writing blog posts since 2009 and have tried during this time to get my blog listed; however it has always failed to be selected.
Not one to be disheartened for too long, I kept coming back and diversifying my content and working on writing posts that are TRUE to me. I have already come to the conclusion that social media is not a place I will win on without a fight as it has been a struggle to grow on any platform. However, one place that continues to thrive and grow is my blog.
If you are here for the first time, I share personal style, beauty, wellness and lifestyle based posts on SashaShantel.com. I share content that I have a genuine interest in and things are about to get taken up a notch as I am determined to focus my energy on growing this site and taking it to the next level.
Feedspot is a social feed reader compiling news feeds from online sources that users can customize and share with other social network users. Back in the day, I used this very resource to find the blogs of some of the best bloggers from “In the Frow, Shirleys Closet, Patricia Bright and What Olivia Did” + many more. Now, my blog is on there and to some it may be nothing but to someone who wanted to close down my blog and throw it all in in 2020; it’s a massive win and one that has further encouraged me to work on producing regular content and making writing my blog a full time venture. (Alongside my self-development and coaching brand Women Who Slay).
In order to make the list, Feedspost peruse through thousands of blogs on the web and decide who makes the lis ranked by traffic, social media followers, domain authority & freshness.
Where traffic is concerned I know for a fact that I need to be more consistent with content and to make even more of an effort to grow my personal brand. Nonetheless, I am thrilled that I have come this far and now I feel even more dedicated to take my blogging passion to higher heights.
Small wins are sometimes all you need to restore your faith and this has been the sign I needed to keep holding on when I was ready to stop everything.
Thanks to Feedspot for recognising my blog and I cannot wait to share more regular content with you all.
S xoxo
