After a whirlwind few weeks of life doing what life does best — moving at 100mph — I decided it was time to slow things down, even just for a little while. So I treated myself (yes, belated birthday gifts are still very much a vibe!) to something I’ve always adored: a luxury afternoon tea experience. And let me tell you, the Hilton DoubleTree Hotel in Greenwich did not disappoint.

The moment I stepped inside, I felt like I had walked straight into a scene from a classic film. Think rich red velvet chairs, decadent dark wooden tables, and décor that simply oozed old-school glamour with a contemporary twist. It wasn’t just beautiful — it was cinematic.

There’s something incredibly grounding about sitting down with a warm cup of English tea, surrounded by quiet opulence, and just letting yourself be. The scones? Huge. Fluffy. Buttery perfection. The jam and cream pairing? Heaven. Every bite was a reminder that slowing down isn’t just nice — it’s necessary.

What made it even more special was how attentive the staff were… without ever intruding. They created the space for us to be fully in the moment — laughing, sipping, and soaking in the ambience. It honestly felt like we were in our own little bubble, away from the world.
This visit wasn’t just about tea and treats — it was about marking a new chapter. A quiet celebration of growth, reflection, and treating myself like the queen I am (and you are too, sis).
Whether you’re planning a catch-up with a friend, a solo self-love date, or a special moment to honour yourself — I highly recommend this gem in Greenwich.
Here’s to more beautiful moments like this. 💫
