Elton John to Open Apple Music Hall as Charli xcx, Burna Boy & More Join Star-Studded London Line-Up

Apple Music Hall is officially ready to make some noise. Following the announcement of Apple’s brand-new 600-capacity live music venue inside Battersea Power Station, the first artists have now been revealed and the opening programme is seriously impressive.

Sir Elton John will officially open the doors to Apple Music Hall with an intimate performance on Monday 28 September 2026, kicking off a run of exclusive London shows featuring Baby Keem, Skye Newman, Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks, Burna Boy, Chase & Status and Charli xcx.

And when we say intimate, we mean it.

Apple Music Hall has space for just 600 guests, creating the rare opportunity to experience some of the world’s biggest artists in a setting far smaller than the arenas and stadiums they’re accustomed to performing.

Elton John in a 600-capacity venue in London?

That’s certainly one way to make an entrance.

Elton John Will Officially Open Apple Music Hall

The legendary British singer, songwriter and pianist will become the first artist to perform at the new Battersea venue when he takes to the stage on Monday 28 September.

Doors open at 6pm, with tickets going on sale at 9am that same morning through DICE.

For those who aren’t lucky enough to secure one of the extremely limited spaces inside the venue, there’s some good news too.

Elton John’s opening performance will be livestreamed globally through Apple Music from 8pm BST, meaning fans around the world will still be able to experience the first-ever Apple Music Hall show.

It feels like an appropriately huge way to launch what Apple clearly hopes will become an important part of London’s live music landscape.

Elton also has history with Apple’s London music events. He previously performed as part of the Apple Music Festival, making his return for the opening of the company’s first permanent live venue feel like a fitting full-circle moment.

Apple Music Hall’s First Eight Shows Have Been Revealed

And Elton is only the beginning.

Apple Music Hall’s opening season brings together established global stars, breakthrough talent and some of the most exciting names currently working across pop, R&B, electronic and alternative music.

The first confirmed performances are:

28 September 2026 — Elton John

2 October 2026 — Baby Keem

7 October 2026 — Skye Newman

13 October 2026 — Troye Sivan

22 October 2026 — Arlo Parks

29 October 2026 — Burna Boy

26 November 2026 — Chase & Status

2 December 2026 — Charli xcx

It’s an eclectic opening programme and, more importantly, one that immediately establishes the calibre of artists Apple intends to bring through the venue.

From the global Afrobeats power of Burna Boy and Charli xcx’s boundary-pushing pop to the atmospheric brilliance of Arlo Parks and the huge live energy of Chase & Status, there’s plenty here to get excited about.

And considering this is only the first wave of announcements, Apple Music Hall could quickly become one of London’s most interesting venues to watch.

A Very Different Way to See Some Very Big Artists

Part of what makes this announcement so exciting is the sheer intimacy of the space.

London has no shortage of impressive music venues, from historic theatres and legendary clubs to arenas capable of holding tens of thousands of people.

Apple Music Hall is taking a different approach.

Located inside Battersea Power Station, the new venue has been designed to combine the closeness of a small club with the production capabilities normally associated with significantly larger shows.

The 600-capacity room includes a 38-foot-wide reconfigurable stage, while a 48-speaker spatial audio system surrounds the audience.

Behind the scenes, the venue houses dedicated recording and mixing studios as well as multicamera broadcast facilities, allowing performances to be recorded, mixed in Spatial Audio and prepared for global broadcasts directly from the building.

In other words, this isn’t simply a new room with a stage.

Apple has built a live music and content-production space capable of turning one intimate London performance into an experience that can potentially reach audiences around the world.

Battersea Power Station Continues Its Entertainment Evolution

The location makes the launch even more interesting.

Battersea Power Station has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, developing into a destination filled with restaurants, shopping, offices, cultural experiences and entertainment.

Apple already has a significant presence within the development, and Apple Music Hall now introduces an entirely new reason for music lovers to head south of the river.

The venue itself takes inspiration from the historic Power Station, incorporating heritage-style brickwork, arches and bronze detailing while offering views across the building and surrounding riverside area.

It’s another example of London finding new ways to blend its architectural history with contemporary culture.

And with artists of this calibre already confirmed, Battersea may soon have another major entertainment destination on its hands.

How Do You Get Apple Music Hall Tickets?

With only 600 spaces available for each performance, demand is likely to be substantial.

Tickets for Elton John, Baby Keem and Skye Newman go on sale through DICE at 9am on Monday 28 September 2026.

Apple Music Hall’s official website directs fans to DICE when purchasing tickets and also allows visitors to sign up for forthcoming show and on-sale announcements.

Ticket details for the remaining performances will be released separately, so anyone hoping to see Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks, Burna Boy, Chase & Status or Charli xcx should keep an eye on the official Apple Music Hall channels.

A New Chapter for Live Music in London

What’s particularly exciting about Apple Music Hall is that it feels less like the arrival of another conventional concert venue and more like an experiment in what the future of live music could look like.

There is something incredibly special about seeing a major artist in an intimate setting.

When the stage is closer, the crowd is smaller and every person in the room feels connected to what’s happening in front of them, live music can take on an entirely different energy.

Combine that with spatial sound, professional recording facilities and the ability to broadcast performances globally, and Apple Music Hall has the potential to create experiences that feel exclusive without remaining completely inaccessible to audiences outside the room.

The opening line-up certainly suggests Apple isn’t starting small.

The Sasha Edit: London Has Another Music Venue to Get Excited About

When Apple Music Hall was first announced, the technology sounded impressive.

Now that we know who will actually be taking to the stage, the venue suddenly feels even more exciting.

Elton John opening a 600-capacity venue is already a major London music moment, but following that performance with artists including Burna Boy, Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks, Chase & Status and Charli xcx makes the opening season one worth paying attention to.

There is something incredibly appealing about seeing artists usually associated with huge crowds perform in a space where only a few hundred people are present.

It feels exclusive. It feels different. And most importantly, it puts the focus right back on the connection between the artist, the music and the audience.

Apple Music Hall may only just be getting started, but judging by its first eight names, this new addition to London’s live entertainment scene is definitely one we’ll be watching.

And with more artist announcements still to come, something tells us the best may be yet to come.
