London’s live music scene is getting a rather exciting new addition, and this time, one of the world’s biggest technology companies is taking centre stage.

Apple has unveiled Apple Music Hall, a brand-new, 600-capacity live music venue inside the iconic Battersea Power Station, bringing together intimate concerts, immersive sound technology and world-class music production under one roof.

Set to open on 28 September 2026, the venue promises to bring music lovers closer to their favourite artists while giving performers the opportunity to create unforgettable live experiences.

And with its location overlooking the River Thames, Apple Music Hall is shaping up to be one of London’s most intriguing new music destinations.

A New Chapter for Live Music in London

There’s something truly special about experiencing live music in an intimate setting.

While stadium concerts have their own undeniable magic, smaller venues offer something completely different. You can see the artist’s expressions, feel the energy of the room and connect with the music in a way that can sometimes get lost in a crowd of thousands.

Apple Music Hall has been designed with precisely that kind of experience in mind.

With space for just 600 people, the venue offers a more personal alternative to London’s enormous arenas while incorporating the production technology associated with major international tours.

At the centre of the performance space is a 38-foot-wide stage, which can be reconfigured to accommodate traditional concerts or performances that bring audiences even closer to the action.

Surrounding the audience is a 48-speaker spatial sound system, designed to create a more immersive listening experience.

Essentially, Apple is bringing arena-level production into a venue small enough to make every performance feel personal.

And honestly, we’re intrigued.

Inside Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station

Of course, a new music venue inside one of London’s most recognisable landmarks was never going to be an ordinary concert space.

Apple Music Hall takes inspiration from Battersea Power Station’s industrial heritage, incorporating exposed brickwork, fluted arches and bronze balconies into its design.

A large glass wall provides views across the building’s historic interior and towards the River Thames, creating a striking connection between the modern performance space and its surroundings.

The result is a venue that combines contemporary technology with architectural character.

And given how Battersea Power Station has transformed into a destination for shopping, dining, leisure and cultural experiences, the arrival of a dedicated live music venue feels like a natural next chapter.

Visitors already have plenty of reasons to head to this part of South London, but Apple Music Hall is about to add another.

This Is Much More Than a Concert Venue

Perhaps the most interesting thing about Apple Music Hall is what happens behind the stage.

Rather than creating a traditional performance space, Apple has developed a fully equipped music and video production facility.

The venue includes two professional recording and mixing studios, allowing artists to capture their performances and produce recordings using Apple’s Spatial Audio technology.

It also has the infrastructure to support more than 16 cameras, alongside a dedicated broadcast control room and additional video capture using iPhones.

That means artists can perform an intimate live show and have the same performance professionally recorded, filmed and prepared for broadcast.

For musicians, this opens up an interesting combination of creative possibilities.

A single performance could become a live concert, a professionally produced recording and a filmed experience for fans around the world.

And for audiences who cannot make it to London, Apple has confirmed that performances from the venue will also be livestreamed internationally.

So even if you aren’t lucky enough to secure a seat inside Apple Music Hall, there may still be an opportunity to experience the performance from home.

Apple Music Radio Is Moving Into Battersea Too

The venue’s opening also marks another development for Apple Music’s London operations.

Apple has announced that its London-based Apple Music Radio presenters and programmes will broadcast from new studios inside Battersea Power Station.

The facilities will support interviews, music premieres, artist-led discussions and special performances.

With Apple Music’s global creative director and radio presenter Zane Lowe among the familiar faces associated with the platform, the new studios will provide another space for artists to share their stories and connect with listeners.

It’s an interesting move that brings together live performance, broadcasting and music production within the same London landmark.

How Can You Get Tickets for Apple Music Hall?

Now for the part we’re particularly interested in.

Apple Music Hall is scheduled to open on 28 September 2026, with details of upcoming performances and ticket releases to be announced through its official website.

Music lovers can register for updates to receive information about forthcoming shows and ticket availability.

Given the venue’s intimate capacity, it’s worth keeping an eye on the announcements if you’re hoping to experience a performance in person.

Apple has not yet confirmed a complete concert programme, so we’ll be watching closely to see which artists will be among the first to take to the stage.

The Sasha Edit

There is something particularly exciting about watching Battersea Power Station continue to evolve into one of London’s major lifestyle and cultural destinations.

And as someone who appreciates the energy of live music, we’re especially interested in what Apple Music Hall could bring to the capital.

The combination of an intimate audience, advanced sound technology and a venue capable of broadcasting performances around the world offers an interesting new way for artists and fans to connect.

But perhaps what appeals to us most is the idea of bringing major music experiences into a smaller setting.

Because as much as we love a spectacular stadium concert, there’s something unforgettable about being close enough to an artist to feel like you’re part of the performance rather than simply watching it.

And with Apple Music Hall preparing to welcome its first audiences, we’re looking forward to seeing which artists will help bring this new London music destination to life.

Battersea, you’ve got our attention.
