Marks & Spencer has officially stepped onto the London Fashion Week runway for the very first time, and the British high-street favourite has certainly given us something to talk about.

Celebrating 100 years of fashion, M&S unveiled its latest womenswear and menswear collections at London’s Design Museum on 18 September 2026, bringing together its signature approach to timeless dressing with contemporary silhouettes, statement tailoring and a fresh take on everyday style.

And unlike many of the collections making their way down the runway this Fashion Week, there’s no need to wait months to get your hands on the pieces.

The M&S London Fashion Week collection is available to shop now.

With half of the collection priced under £50, this is one runway moment that doesn’t require a designer-sized budget.

100 Years of British Fashion And a New Chapter for M&S

For generations, Marks & Spencer has been a familiar name in British wardrobes.

From dependable knitwear and beautifully tailored coats to occasionwear, wardrobe staples and everyday essentials, the retailer has built its reputation around clothing designed to be worn and enjoyed.

But its latest London Fashion Week appearance signals an ambitious new chapter.

Taking inspiration from the M&S fashion archives, the collection reimagines some of the pieces that have defined the brand over the decades, bringing them firmly into 2026.

Think crisp white shirts, classic twinsets, beautifully structured tailoring, statement outerwear and vintage-inspired floral prints.

The runway presentation brought together designs from the retailer’s Collection, Per Una and Autograph ranges, demonstrating just how much the British high street has evolved.

And with 59 looks showcased across womenswear and menswear, there was plenty of inspiration for the new season.

The Collection Is All About Wearable Style

One of the things we appreciate most about this M&S collection is that the pieces have been designed with real wardrobes in mind.

It’s all well and good admiring an extraordinary runway creation, but there’s something particularly appealing about seeing a beautifully styled outfit and knowing you could actually wear it to work, dinner or a weekend brunch.

The collection combines contemporary cuts with familiar wardrobe staples, allowing customers to experiment with new-season trends without completely reinventing their personal style.

And that is exactly the kind of fashion we’re interested in.

Whether your wardrobe leans towards understated elegance, relaxed tailoring or more expressive statement pieces, the collection offers plenty of opportunities to experiment.

The M&S Runway Pieces We’re Watching

With the new collection already available to shop, i’ve been taking a closer look at some of the standout pieces and styling directions.

These are the looks that have caught my attention.

1. The £85 Tuxedo Jacket

A beautifully tailored blazer is one of those wardrobe pieces that can instantly transform an outfit.

M&S has introduced a Peak Lapel Tuxedo Jacket priced at £85, bringing classic eveningwear styling into a contemporary high-street collection.

Pair it with the matching relaxed straight-leg tuxedo trousers for an effortlessly polished look, or style it with denim and heels for a more relaxed approach to evening dressing.

It’s the kind of piece that can work well beyond one season.

2. Statement Tweed Tailoring

There’s something about tweed that immediately brings a sense of sophistication to an outfit.

For its latest collection, M&S has introduced a fitted herringbone double-breasted blazer priced at £85, alongside coordinating wide-leg trousers at £58.

The structured silhouette and heritage-inspired fabric make this an appealing option for anyone looking to elevate their autumn wardrobe.

Wear the two pieces together for a coordinated look or separate them to create multiple outfits.

We particularly love the idea of pairing the blazer with a simple roll-neck top and your favourite boots.

3. The £35 Tweed Tulip Skirt

For anyone who loves classic dressing with a contemporary twist, the Tweed Herringbone Knee Length Tulip Skirt is another piece worth exploring.

Priced at £35, the skirt brings a more sculptural silhouette to traditional tweed.

Style it with a fitted knit, a crisp shirt or a coordinating blazer for a polished autumn outfit.

It’s a lovely reminder that statement dressing doesn’t always have to mean bright colours or extravagant prints.

Sometimes the silhouette does all the talking.

4. The £50 Leopard-Print Ballet Pumps

Animal print continues to find its way into our wardrobes, and M&S has brought the trend into its new collection with a pair of Hair On Leather Leopard Print Ballet Pumps.

Priced at £50, they’re an easy way to add a little personality to a more understated outfit.

Think black tailored trousers, a white shirt and leopard-print flats.

Simple, stylish and the kind of combination that works beautifully when you want an outfit to feel put together without trying too hard.

5. The £140 Knee-High Leather Boots

Autumn and knee-high boots go hand in hand, and the Leather Ruched Stiletto Heel Knee High Boots are one of the more statement-making additions to the new collection.

Priced at £140, they offer plenty of styling possibilities.

Wear them with a midi skirt and fitted knitwear, or introduce them to a shorter dress for an elevated evening look.

They’re the kind of boots that can become the focal point of an outfit without requiring too many additional accessories.

A Runway That Celebrated Style Across Generations

Another notable part of the M&S London Fashion Week debut was its cast.

The runway featured established models including Jodie Kidd, Erin O’Connor and Karen Elson, alongside Lennon Gallagher.

The show also attracted a celebrity-filled audience, with Dame Joan Collins, David Gandy, Jessie Ware, AJ Odudu and Katherine Jenkins among those attending.

It was a fitting way for the retailer to celebrate a century of fashion while showcasing its place in contemporary British style.

And for those of us who have followed the evolution of M&S over the years, there’s something rather refreshing about seeing a familiar high-street name confidently taking its place on the London Fashion Week schedule.

The Best Part? You Can Shop the Runway Now

Unlike traditional Fashion Week presentations, where collections are often shown months before they reach stores, M&S opted for a see-now, buy-now format.

That means the runway collection is already available online and through selected flagship stores across the UK and Ireland.

For shoppers who have spotted a particular piece on the runway, there’s no need to wait for the next season.

And with half of the collection priced under £50, the presentation makes a compelling case for high-street fashion that feels considered, contemporary and accessible.

The Sasha Edit

There is something particularly exciting about watching a British high-street institution celebrate 100 years of fashion by stepping onto one of the industry’s most recognised stages.

M&S has spent generations dressing women and men across the country, and its London Fashion Week debut brings that history together with a more contemporary approach to style.

But what interests us most is the wearability.

We love fashion that makes a statement, but we also appreciate clothes that can move effortlessly between the different parts of our lives.

A beautifully tailored blazer that works for the office and an evening out.

A pair of leopard-print flats that can bring an otherwise simple outfit to life.

A great coat, a flattering pair of trousers or a statement skirt that you can style in several different ways.

Those are the pieces that make getting dressed feel exciting.

And if there’s one thing the M&S runway debut has reminded us, it’s that great personal style has never been about the price tag alone.

Sometimes the most interesting fashion discoveries are waiting on the British high street.

The M&S London Fashion Week collection is available to shop now online and at selected flagship stores.
