Cambridge House, Auberge Collection is preparing to open its doors in Mayfair in 2027, bringing 102 rooms and suites, destination dining, three floors of wellbeing and a major new chapter to one of London’s most storied addresses.

One of Mayfair’s most historic addresses is preparing for a remarkable new chapter.

Cambridge House, Auberge Collection is now accepting reservations ahead of its planned 2027 debut, marking Auberge Collection’s first London property and one of the capital’s most anticipated new luxury hotel openings.

Set at 94 Piccadilly, opposite Green Park and moments from Shepherd Market, the Grade I-listed Georgian mansion dates back to 1756 and has long been woven into London’s social and political history.

Over the centuries, the building has been associated with royalty, aristocracy and political figures, later becoming home to the Naval and Military Club, better known as the In & Out Club.

Now, the historic property is being restored and reimagined as part of Reuben Brothers’ wider £1 billion regeneration of the Piccadilly Estate.

And judging by what has been revealed so far, Cambridge House is aiming to become much more than simply another five-star hotel.

A New Kind of Mayfair Stay

When Cambridge House opens, it will feature 102 rooms, including 24 suites, with acclaimed French interior designer Jean-Louis Deniot overseeing the transformation of the hotel and its guest spaces.

At the heart of the property will be six historic suites forming a magnificent 6,500 sq ft Piano Nobile, designed to showcase the scale, heritage and grandeur of the original house.

The overall design is expected to balance the history of the Georgian building with a more contemporary interpretation of British luxury.

Designer Laura Gonzalez is also shaping several of Cambridge House’s key spaces, including areas within its wellbeing offering and signature social spaces.

The result promises to be a hotel that feels firmly rooted in Mayfair while still offering something fresh for a new generation of luxury travellers.

Major’s Brings Destination Dining to Cambridge House

Food is set to play a major role in the Cambridge House experience.

Its culinary centrepiece will be Major’s, a new restaurant from Major Food Group, the hospitality company behind internationally recognised restaurants including Carbone and Torrisi.

For its London debut, Major Food Group will bring together the spirit of the classic American chophouse with the traditions of the British grill.

The restaurant will sit within Cambridge House’s restored Georgian ballroom and a jasmine-fringed courtyard, creating what is likely to become one of Mayfair’s most talked-about new dining rooms.

British produce will sit at the heart of the menu, with the restaurant expected to work closely with farmers, fishermen, foragers and producers.

The concept will feature dishes and dining rituals associated with classic chophouse culture, alongside a strong drinks programme.

Rather than feeling like an add-on for hotel guests, Major’s looks set to become a destination in its own right.

Three Floors Dedicated to Wellbeing

One of the most exciting parts of the project is Cambridge House’s ambitious approach to wellness.

Baeden House, the hotel’s dedicated wellbeing destination, will span three floors and take inspiration from British healing traditions and the rituals of the Roman bathhouse.

Facilities are set to include a swimming pool, bathhouse, treatment rooms, state-of-the-art gyms and immersive studios.

The concept forms part of Auberge Collection’s wider approach to wellbeing, which places experience, restoration and pleasure at the centre rather than treating wellness as an occasional spa appointment.

In an increasingly competitive luxury-hotel market, this could prove to be one of Cambridge House’s strongest points of difference.

For Londoners as well as international guests, Baeden House has the potential to become a destination within the destination.

A Historic London Address Reimagined

What makes Cambridge House particularly compelling is the contrast between its past and its future.

The mansion was built in 1756 and has previously been home to a Prime Minister and the Duke of Cambridge, as well as welcoming influential figures from British social and political life.

Rather than stripping the property of that history, the restoration is designed to make the building’s heritage a central part of the guest experience.

That combination of Georgian architecture, contemporary interiors, destination dining and a major wellbeing offering gives Cambridge House the potential to become one of the most distinctive new luxury hotels in London.

For Auberge Collection, the opening is significant too, marking its first London property and strengthening its growing presence in Europe.

More Than a Hotel

Cambridge House is also being positioned as a wider lifestyle destination.

Alongside the hotel, restaurants, bars and wellbeing spaces, the property is expected to expand further in 2027 with the arrival of a private members’ club.

That broader vision suggests Cambridge House wants to become somewhere people return to repeatedly — not simply somewhere they book for an overnight stay.

For Londoners, that could mean dining at Major’s, visiting the wellbeing spaces, meeting for drinks or attending events without ever checking into a room.

And that may ultimately be what makes the project most interesting.

When Does Cambridge House Open?

Cambridge House, Auberge Collection is scheduled to open in February 2027, with reservations now available.

The hotel has announced room-only rates starting from £1,250 per night, with bookings currently being accepted for stays later in 2027.

With Major’s, Baeden House, extensive social spaces and a private members’ club all forming part of the wider vision, Cambridge House is shaping up to become much more than another new Mayfair hotel.

It looks set to become an entirely new destination within one of London’s most established luxury neighbourhoods.

Sasha’s Take

What interests me most about Cambridge House is the scale of the experience being created around the hotel.

There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in London, but bringing together one of Mayfair’s most historic buildings, bold contemporary interiors, serious destination dining and an ambitious three-floor wellbeing concept makes this feel like something slightly different.

If the finished property delivers on the vision, Cambridge House could become one of those hotels that Londoners want to experience just as much as international visitors.

And I’ll certainly be watching this one closely.
