I’m not even going to start this by saying… sorry guys… you know things have been busy and I have had a lot going on… blah blah blah because the truth is I was contemplating deleting this blog and just not blogging anymore. With the recent articles I have read stating that blogging in many ways is a dead medium; as visuals are now ahead of the game. I haven’t felt motivated or inspired to hang out in my online sanctuary. So much has been happening and it’s been difficult to convey that on here. Instead of utilising social media and using it to its full advantage, I have struggled to use it at all. Battling with myself daily and deliberating whether I should post or not. Would anyone notice if I didn’t, would it actually matter if I just pressed delete and moved on with my life.

Because the truth is, with Instagram being an endless online competition with other bloggers who invite you to join online engagement groups on social platforms like Telegram initially stating that the group is ‘support’ one another. Yet, you find that upon following them, they cannot follow you back. The whole thing just becomes one big flipping nuisance. Then there’s Instagram itself who seems to have its own agenda, promoting the influencers that already have thousands of followers already, allowing algorithms to practically wipe smaller influencers out the park. Then there’s the online battle of likes not being high enough and still not being any nearer to 10k followers (this is the amount you need to be recognised more by brands and to increase your chances of being paid for the content you create).

I have always tried to put out quality content but in all honesty it has been slightly demoralising when bloggers pose in their bedroom mirror, with a pile of clothes, wires and an overall messy room and some how they get thousands of likes. It’s as if quality doesn’t mean much when you are a microinfluencer and that is sometimes a hard pill to swallow.

By my own admittance,  I haven’t been the most consistent blogger and this has contributed to my downfall. When it comes to content creation and blogging, consistency and not stopping when the going gets tough is ultimately the key. So after wrestling with throwing in the towel, I instead decided that I would commit to visiting my happy place more, I would; no matter what write up to three posts a week (from this moment forward) and more vitally, I would be grateful to those who actually visit my blog and my socials.)

I love blogging and sharing my love of fashion, food, beauty and everything else I showcase on this site. So here’s to a fresh perspective, more regular content and a renewed passion for writing and sharing my thoughts on sashashantel.com.

Thanks to each and everyone of you who support my blog, my socials and interact with me, I appreciate you.

Sasha Shantel X Love Leggings #LiveInLove

I hadn’t heard of this brand before they reached out to me for a collaboration. But I can honestly say that I was missing out as I have never worn a pair of jeans so comfortable; and I mean NEVER! I practically shot this look then returned home and wore it at home too. That’s the kind of comfortable I am referring to.

Orange Is The Colour

I’ve never ever purchased an orange blazer before. In fact; I don’t really own much orange clothing. But there is something really amazing about this orange blazer. I have your typical black and blue blazers, I also own yellow and green blazers, but nothing beats my new fave. I had already planned my all white ensemble and knew that the blazer would make it a LOOK. But, I honestly was not ready for this.

Stunting In My Green Shein Suit

Don’t I honestly look like a Jazz musician in this suit? lol; but I absolutely love it! I really wanted to try something a LOT different from my norm. Fashion is about pushing boundaries and not always sticking to your comfort zone. This suit couldn’t be further from my comfort zone. A bright green, not tight fitting suit teamed with big black boots. I never felt so free in this easy and effortless look.
