So for all of those who don’t know, I used to run an award winning positive lifestyle online magazine called In-spire LS and to be quite honest, we had some major achievements. From interviewing Usain Bolt and Sir Richard Branson to featuring artists like Yuna and Ashanti, as well as reviewing the best London restaurant and UK based spas, we really had a blast. In fact, I acquired this workspace from Peckham Levels to run my magazine from there. However, in May last year, the unthinkable happened and I lost 70% of my sites content. Further to that, I had a legal matter that was hovering over my head and after much deliberation, I made the decision (along with Syianne who started the magazine with me) to close the magazine and inevitably start all over again. Was it daunting? yes, did I think I’d recover? well, there was a moment when I completely slumped and couldn’t motivate myself to do anything as a result of the loss.
However, over time I was able to move on, start writing a book on my experience (this is coming soon by the way) and start a new venture. In the process, it was a consideration to give up my workspace but looking at it, can you blame me that I found a way to keep it 🙂 starting again isn’t easy and at times I thought the entire process would break me. However, looking at what we have achieved with the space and looking at what it is now, it is well worth the sacrifice and has become my haven and home away from home.
Below is a few images and commentary. I’d love your thoughts/comments on it.
