Yesterday, I got invited along with my best friend Katie to attend the ‘Blue Tie Ball’ an event hosted by the lovely people at Small Business Saturday UK. Held at the very new Hilton Hotel (Bankside) It was a celebration of all the hard work that goes into an organisation that effortlessly supports and promotes the work of small businesses nationally. The event was also a celebration of one of their supporters Fran Kemp; an avid business owner who sadly passed away. In honour of her work and her commitment to small business communities; an award was also given out in her honour and will continue to be given out each year.
The night was filled with laughter, magic (no literally there was a magician who performed at our table) photo booth madness, a three course meal which was to die for and lots of wine and dancing.
It was also a night where we decided to shoot my outfit of the evening. So Katie grabbed her camera and here are the results….
I love my LBD with lace detailing. I have had this dress for a while and actually purchased it from an independent boutique in South London. It cost no more that £15!
My beautiful khaki green heels are from Dorothy Perkins. Around 3 months ago, I was trailing through the ‘sale’ section and found that these beauties were reduced from £35 to £22 (Don’t you just love a sale). My khaki cardigan which almost matches perfectly in colour is from Primark and cost me £9. My tassel bag which can be carried in a multitude of ways (either over the chest, on the shoulder or as a clutch was a gift from Katie and cost £19.99 from H&M.
The settings both inside and outside were the perfect visual backdrop for an outfit that effortlessly came together. What I love most about these images are they are raw and unedited.. no pretending, no editing.. just me.
