I cannot express how good it feels to have fashion brands reach out to you when you’re (in comparison) with other bloggers quite small. However, I stated my intentions at the end of 2018 and one of this things I spoke into existence was more collaborations. Collaborating with brands in so many way help you to be taken more seriously within the blogging community and once brands see you working with their competitors; they want a slice of the action too. It’s definitely a win/win situation for all involved.
As you all know already. I love Everything5Pounds as their clothes are not only great value but they also look good too. Earlier last month, one of the brands representatives reached out to me after I had initially sent an email to them in August. It was so good to hear back from them and to be given the opportunity to style some of their pieces. I was given the option of selecting 4 pieces from their current collection. With the option of using one or more pieces in a look. I managed to shoot 3 items out of the 4 and I was pretty happy with the look.
I opted to choose items that I wouldn’t typically wear and really wanted to step right out of my comfort zone. Nothing says out of your comfort zone more than these yellow polka dot pants. However, when I saw them I honestly fell in love. They’re so free-spirited and completely go against the grain when it comes to what is normally worn at this time of year.
I teamed it with a fitted body suit also from Everything5Pounds, sock boots which I purchased last year from Ebay and my faux fur jacket which I also nabbed on Ebay last Winter. The necklace and earrings are from Primark.
The finished look was pretty cool and it drew a positive response on Instagram. More importantly it really made me review my current style and I know want to take more chances when it comes to my looks.
What’s even better is that Everything5Pounds gave me an exclusive discount code to give to my followers which gives you 5% off at the checkout. Just use my discount code SASHA5.
What do you think of this look? would you be bold and wear brights like these in Winter?
