It’s been a very long time that I have had this feeling but the past few weeks since reading a book with my mother by the phenomenal pastor, public speaker and author Joel Osteen titled ‘I Declare’. My life and my overall mindset has taken a major and momentous turn for the better.
There honestly is truth to the fact that your mindset determines your life because since I decided to take control and responsibility for the messages I speak into my psyche, my reality is becoming that more exciting. My brand is growing and I’m enjoying the daily process and grind of expanding its reach, my health is better, I’m managing deadlines with more ease and I have an overall and real belief that I’m working towards something bigger and better, outside of my self.
I knew it was possible to jump out of bed; ready to attack the day. However, this wasn’t me everyday. It only happened once in a while. Instead of being excited by possibility, I was crippled by improbability. Happily, that’s no longer me anymore. Every morning, no matter the challenges I face; I’m simply excited by what direction I will be taken. I cannot begin to express how thankful I am that my thoughts are no longer holding me back.
Due to this shift in mindset, I’m feeling and becoming blessed in abundance. The blessings are presenting themselves in my life in ways that others can’t see or hear. Yet, this is what makes them that more profound.
3 months into the new year and feelings of self doubt, rejection, depression are all but gone and I don’t ever see them rearing their ugly head in the way they had last year. I’m open and ready for where my journey will take me next and feel more than capable and ready to go wherever it takes me.
Now onto this weeks look….
I did say I was going to take a break from fashion posts as In-spire LS was taking most if not all of my time outside of work. However, having looked at my wardrobe and mentally putting a look together. Then looking out of the window and seeing a major influx of sunlight through my window. I knew I had to head out and seize the day.
Who else is loving the pink hair! I have become SOOOO much more experimental with my hair. I love wigs and hair pieces to death. Hair is an accessory and too many girls get caught in this hype of going on about their hair being real and being #TeamNatural. See, I’m happy for them but I’m a blogger and a creative and I like to try new things and switch things up!
I have got a rather major obsession with camouflage at the moment. Seriously; it has gotten out of hand at late but when browsing the racks in Primark, I had to nab this camo men’s t-shirt (£7.00) and turn it into a dress. I teamed it with my favourite knee high books from Public Desire (£39.99) , a lace up choker from ASOS (£12.00) and my silver detailing black leather jacket from H&M (£29.99) My gorgeous shades were a bargain and only cost £12.00 from River Island!
This is without a doubt one of my most favourite looks and it’s affordable and stylish too. 🙂
