Is it wrong to suggest that I’m getting better with age. When I was in my 20’s I was convinced that by the time I hit my 30’s people would be looking at me and thinking ‘she’s had her best days1 lol!! Perhaps this is because I’ve heard that once you turn 30 it’s downhill all the way.
However, apart from a few hiccups… I lost my tooth last year and it devastated me (perhaps I’ll save that for another post…) and my hair broke due to traction alopecia. I have to say, I’m not really doing too badly.
In fact, I feel better and look better than I ever have and I honestly think it is down to the fact that I’m finally comfortable in my own skin. I’ve been rejected, been forgotten, been hurt, I’ve caused hurt, I’ve reflected, I’ve grown and now I’m fully bloomed.
Let’s just say, I’m actually loving my life, I’m loving the challenges, the bumps in the road, the twists and the turns and everything that has taken place in between.
I think I’m finally embracing and celebrating all that I have achieved, because for too long I was caught up on the fact that I wasn’t further ahead. Now I know, I’m exactly where I need to be and I’m trying all I can to change my circumstances and for that, I’m prouder and feeling more accomplished than ever.
About this outfit…
What can I say.. I’ve glowed up. This dress looks so dope on my complexion and just stands out completely. I’m obsessed with bright colours and the purchase of this dress was a no brainer. It’s an oldie though… I picked it up from Boohoo.com last year but didn’t have a reason to wear it and show it off, until now.
My Perspex heels keep making an appearance but how can they not… they go with absolutely everything. You can still grab a pair from Ego
My jewellery are both from an independent boutique in Peckham, South London and was only £3!
Until the next look…. x
