Before I turned 31, I made the decision to do two major things this year. First and foremost was to put all my efforts into my Magazine and to attend as many events and expand the overall reach of my brand. Secondly was to work on ‘working’ different looks. Sometimes you can get so caught up in what is on trend and what hair style is the best in and why contouring your face is EVERYTHING that you can get lost in the mix and forget who you are! The way you wear your hair and the way you dress should all represent your personality; not that of another. One thing Instagram is teaching me is that the vast amount of women are merging into each other.
I was determined to carve out my own signature look and to choose outfits and hairstyles; away from the norm. I worked this latest #MyLookMyWay look to a recent music event in Boxpark Shoreditch and to say I was hounded by members of the public is a mere understatement. The reaction was crazy!
The grey and black hair was a look I wanted to wear for a while but just didn’t feel bold enough to do it. However, it was like a lightbulb had gone off in my head where I simply thought Stuff It, do you, evolve and advance forward. Dress how you want, play with patterns, have fun with your hair and change up your look. Fashion should be fun and in a time where when it comes to fashion; anything goes. It was refreshing to play around with my make-up, outfit and accessories to great a more ‘dynamic’ Sasha.
