#MyLookMyWay | Embracing The Blogging Journey

5th February 2017

I’ve been blogging since 2007! It feels so surreal typing this and realising that I have been writing for so long. I can honestly say however that I haven’t taken it as serious as I should have. Seeing as it is such a MAJOR thing and now thousands of bloggers/writers everywhere are making a living from doing what they love. In 2010, I started my blogzine/ezine In-spire LS Magazine  and I honestly feel that it is finally where it needs to be and the direction is clear. I have a team of creatives working with me to help me take it to the next level and I feel confident in where it’s moving next.

However, when it comes to my blogging; I would be the first to admit that I haven’t always known what direction I wanted it to take it. I love food, music and writing inspirational content. I’ve built my reputation writing particularly on the latter. However, I really needed to come up with something that I could be consistent with, grow into and hone on this site.

That’s where #MyLookMyWay comes the fore. I love fashion but I’m not in love with the fashion scene. I try to keep up with the current seasonal trends but I won’t allow myself to be defined by them. I like to wear what I want when I want and I like to wear clothing my way and on my terms. So many of us have become slaves to fashion and we struggle to maintain the lifestyles we see on our favourite celebrities or the popular bloggers insta profiles because they seem to have an endless stream of clothes, that never ever stops. I’ve learned that it really doesn’t have to be like that. It’s important to work with what you have and create your own fashion identity.

I’ve learned to wear what I have and to style clothing in the ways that I like it best. I’ve been using the #MyLookMyWay concept for two years now and I feel like I’ve found my footing. I’m at last enjoying the process and as much as my blog will feature all of my passions; being food, music and inspiration. My blog will feature more fashion posts, hauls, favorites and payday wishlists. Thanks to the 36,000 unique visitors that stopped by last month 🙂 and do keep up with my blogging journey…so much more to come.

Now onto my outfit….

Is this two piece, coordinate set by Boohoo; from their Night/party collection amazing. I have an obsessions with matching sets and when I saw this I knew it had to be added to my basket. The great thing about this top is the fact that it comes tied up already. The flared detailing of the trousers has a 70’s feel and the thin stripes on this outfit is so slimming.

I decided to once again wear my gorgeous leather jacket from H&M which set me back £150 but was a worthy investment. The sandals are from New Look and the choker was purchased from ASOS.  This look was so simple to put together, but I felt so confident wearing it and my red hair completed the look.
