I love eating out but it is something that I prefer to do in moderation because I haven’t’ got the fastest metabolism and I need to work at it when it comes to keeping trim. However, when I was invited to a fun filled meeting with Marianne from Merite PR and In-spire LS contributor and now friend author and life coach Olga Levancuka at The Corner Restaurant I had to ensure I tried out what they had to offer.
The Corner Restaurant and Champagne bar is not your typical eatery. Not only because it is based in the highly reputable and prestigious retail complex Selfridges but more because of the notable fact that they frequently change their menu to reflect the season and only use the very best ingredients sourced within the UK.
What I noticed firstly was that the food wasn’t too expensive. There was the option of choosing a starter and main from the lunch menu for no more that £15.00. However, I never really choose food from the set menu and decided to instead choose a main course and desert from the main menu.
A few toilet selfies as you do…..
I am steak lover so it was only right that I tried out their steak which I asked to be well done. It came with fries and a side salad. I am very fussy when it comes to my steak. It is important that although I have it well done that it still retains flavour and I can honestly say that it did. It tasted absolutely amazing. The meat was succulent and left a pleasant after taste.
Moving onto the dessert, was it as pleasing? Sadly no. I opted for an apple crumble with a side helping of vanilla ice-cream. However, I found the crumble to be quite dry and I wasn’t able to finish it. However, overall my dining experience at The Corner Restaurant was good one. The customer service was very up to par and the setting was luxurious. The company was a bonus too.
The venue itself was compact but pleasing and gave a very nice view of Oxford Circus. I loved the part modern and contemporary feel of the place which all added to and heightened my experience.
The Corner Restaurant is situated in the corner of Womenswear Designer Gallery and is definitely worth a visit if you are having a lunch time meeting in Central London.
Thank you very much to the staff at The Corner Restaurant for what was an excellent dining experience overall. Many thanks to the great company I enjoyed it with too.
