#Reflections | 5 Qualities I Want In My Next Partner

16th January 2017

I appreciate every man needs to feel and be treated like a King, but it is my belief that in order for a man to be treated like a King, he should in turn treat the woman he is with or is in the process of getting into a relationship with as a Queen also.

With a stronger understanding of the universe and the laws of attraction, I know that in order to get what I truly want I have to speak it into being. Name it, believe in it and ask with the belief in myself that I will attain it.

So with that being said here’s my list of the 5 things I have named, put out into the universe and believe will come my way when the time is right.

  1. Someone who is spontaneous

I am not one for PDA’s, in fact; anyone that knows me knows I can’t stand them. However, I do love the idea of spontaneity. You know, turning up to your place of work unexpectedly and taking you to lunch. Or booking a restaurant without you knowing. Leaving a note in your bag, saying something sweet and meaningful. Does this only happen in the movies and on Instagram because it honestly feels like this old fashioned way of doing things is dead, or its passed me by. Being sent flowers is also a major thing too. Not sending them because you’ve done something wrong but just sending them because they will put a smile on my face. That’s the kind of spontaneity I’m looking for!

2. Someone who doesn’t keep me waiting…

I’m not saying a person can’t run late but being left sitting there, all dressed to the nines and going no where isn’t the best look. I just want someone who sees meeting with me like getting to a job interview. They recognise how important my time is and value every second they spend with me. Have you ever gone to visit someone and they have you waiting around in your car, they say give me 5 and then 12 minutes later; you’re still sitting there?. Then they stroll towards you and act un-phased and un-bothered and then look at you like you’re over-reacting? It’s not cool and it’s something I’m not putting up with anymore.

3. Someone who is ambitious but recognises I am ambitious also…

Not cut throat ambitious, but someone who understands that I will give as much of my time to my passions because that is what undoubtedly keeps me alive and happy. Supporting one another’s passions are important. It is not easy to turn your passions into your everyday reality and it doesn’t help if you’re in a partnership where you feel guilty every time you’re working towards your goals.

4. Someone who notices when things are not as it should be with me and helps to fix it…

I’m very independent and do take care of myself but there has been times when I’ve been short on money or had major outgoings and as a result, I haven’t been able to treat myself to getting my nails done or my hair. These may seem like silly things but it would be nice to meet a partner who notices these little things with me and wants to help out. Not because they have to be told, but because they are so in tune with me, they acknowledge it all on there own.

5. Someone who is dedicated to the development of their mind, body and spirit as much as I am.

Eating well, exercising and personal development are all a major part of my life. I need a life partner who is as passionate about looking after their mental and physical wellbeing in as much  a way as I do. So when I’m feeling lazy and vice versa, we can undoubtedly encourage and motivate one another.
