When it comes to achieving healthy, glowing skin, it’s not always about the latest trend or the most expensive products on the shelf. In fact, over the years I’ve learned that less really is more. It’s about building a routine that works for you; one that’s consistent, natural, and sustainable.
Here are my top 5 skincare tips that have helped me keep my skin looking (and feeling) its best all year round.
Sip Your Way to Better Skin

One of the biggest game changers for my skin has been drinking herbal tea daily. Green tea, white tea, rosehip, nettle and lemon & ginger tea are my absolute go-tos.
Each one has its own powerful benefits:
- Green tea is packed with antioxidants that help fight acne and slow down aging.
- White tea helps boost collagen and keeps the skin firm.
- Rosehip tea is rich in vitamin C and helps brighten dull skin.
- Nettle tea is fantastic for detoxing and balancing oil production.
- Lemon & ginger tea supports digestion (which is key for clear skin!) and gives your body a daily immunity boost.
If you’re not a huge water drinker, this is an easy way to stay hydrated and nourish your skin from within.

Keep It Simple, Literally
A consistent skincare routine is non-negotiable if you want clear, balanced skin. I stick to the basics: cleanse, tone, and moisturise every morning and night.
I’ve been loyal to the brand Simple for years because it’s gentle, affordable, and free from harsh chemicals, fragrance, and colourings. My skin loves it. It does the job without the unnecessary fuss and that’s why it works.

Remember, your skincare doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. It just needs to be consistent.
Moisturise With Intention
Moisturising is key to maintaining a healthy glow. During the day, I use a rich, nourishing cream to keep my skin hydrated and protected. But here’s my little secret- I mix in a drop of Vitamin C serum in both my morning and night routine.

Vitamin C helps to brighten your skin, even out tone, and give that lit-from-within glow we all love. It’s honestly one of my non-negotiables.
Don’t Forget Your Eyes
The skin around your eyes is delicate and often the first area to show signs of tiredness or aging. A good eye cream makes a world of difference. It helps to hydrate, firm, and minimise the appearance of dark circles and fine lines.

I recommend applying it gently with your ring finger (it uses the least pressure) and making it part of your daily ritual-morning and night.
Mask & Chill
Last but definitely not least give your skin a pamper session at least once a fortnight (minimum). Applying a face mask helps to deep clean your pores, rehydrate your skin, and reset your glow.
This isn’t just skincare; it’s self-care. Pop on a mask, light a candle, sip your herbal tea and take a moment to relax. Your skin (and your mind) will thank you for it.
Final Thoughts
Healthy, clear skin is a reflection of what’s happening both on the outside and the inside. So while products matter, what you eat, drink, and how you care for yourself matter even more.
Remember: glow is a lifestyle, not a filter. Keep your routine simple, stay hydrated, feed your skin with goodness, and give it the love it deserves.
Stay glowing,
