If you consider yourself a dessert aficionado, then you absolutely must add Heavenly Desserts to your foodie bucket list. Proudly hailed as the Number 1 desserts venue in the UK, I had the pleasure of experiencing this newly opened gem situated conveniently in Croydon, just across the road from the vibrant BoxPark.
First Impressions
From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated. The decor is nothing short of exquisite—modern, clean, and dripping with elegance. The inviting colour palette exuded both beauty and class, perfectly complemented by the chic neon light features that add a warm, ambient glow throughout the seating area. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into creating a space that feels both luxurious and welcoming.
The Service
Customer service at Heavenly Desserts is top-tier. I was greeted warmly by our lovely female server, who seated us at a spacious booth near the window—a delightful touch, as I often find myself at cramped tables. This prime spot allowed me to truly immerse myself in the environment and savour every moment
The Menu: A Dessert Lover’s Paradise
The menu is a treasure trove of decadent delights. From American waffles and croffles to crepes, milk cakes, cookie dough, cheesecakes, tarts, puddings, and sundae jars, the options were endless. I genuinely felt spoilt for choice.
My mum, who joined me as my plus one, opted for her all-time favourite—a classic Tiramisu. Meanwhile, I found myself overwhelmed by the mouthwatering selections until Hassan, one of the fantastic staff members, came to the rescue. He recommended we try the Caramel Monkey Bread, and let me tell you—it was to die for! A heavenly mix of cinnamon butter dough, warm apple compote, salted caramel sauce, toasted pecans, and Madagascan vanilla gelato, this dessert was simply divine. It’s not something I would have picked on my own, but I’m beyond grateful for Hassan’s suggestion because it’s now a firm favourite. Trust me, you have to try it—you will not be disappointed.
The Showstopper
Of course, I couldn’t resist indulging in a crepe, so I went for ‘I’ll Have What She’s Having’—a delightful concoction of fresh strawberries, Belgian milk chocolate, strawberry syrup, and stracciatella gelato. It was as delicious as it sounds, balancing the rich chocolate with the refreshing burst of strawberries.
To wash it all down, Hassan recommended the Iced Rose & Lychee Martini, a sweet, floral drink that perfectly complemented the rich desserts.
Final Thoughts
My experience at Heavenly Desserts was phenomenal from start to finish. The stunning decor, impeccable service, and mouthwatering desserts made for an unforgettable visit. If you have a sweet tooth and a love for indulgent treats, this is a must-visit spot.
